The Career & Learning Plan
The Career and Learning Plan (CLP) is the cornerstone in guiding and shaping your employees’ career exploration efforts. The CLP helps your employees identify and achieve personal career goals. Each employee will complete an on-line CLP that consists of four steps:
1. Self-Assessment
2. Exploring My Career Options
3. Investigating My Career Options
4. Preparing for My Chosen Career
1. Self Assessment – During the self-reflection phase, employees come to a better understanding of personal interests and aptitudes.
2. Exploring My Career Options – Your employees will develop an in-depth understanding of hospital careers during this research phase of the CLP process.
3. Investigating My Career Options – After talking with others and job shadowing, employees will be able to narrow their career “next step” to the top job of interest.
4. Preparing for My Chosen Career – The action planning phase provides your employee with a detailed roadmap for how to accomplish his/her next move on the career ladder.

The healthcare-specific Career Interest Survey provides your employee with an objective look at personal interests and aptitudes, as applied to jobs in your unique environment. After completing a 289 question interest survey, each employee will receive an extensive report customized to the healthcare industry.
CareerCare was developed to promote career path options within the hospital. The jobs featured on the customized report will link the employee to careers exclusively within the hospital.

The CareerCare Research Section is an in-depth description of over 170 healthcare jobs. The Research section provides the ability to explore, investigate, and educate. By learning about the skills needed for specific jobs, employees can confidently explore careers they know are a good fit and quickly eliminate other jobs without the time and expense of job shadowing.
