Career Ladder

Career Ladders show the progression from entry-level positions to those with higher levels of responsibility, skill, and pay. Career ladder programs provide education and skills training on the job, increasing the likelihood of internal promotions.

Career Ladders

Not all careers follow a linear progression. Workers may also make lateral moves. For example, a career “ladder” would focus on the climb from Patient Care Tech to LVN to RN; a lattice recognizes that LPN candidates can be drawn from other departments such as Lab Techs.
