Enhancing Patient and Nurse Satisfaction
Since 2004, Catalyst Learning Company (CLC)* has conducted research to help healthcare employers quantify the value of investing in the development of entry-level employees. A recent study focuses on the impact of SAW/ECHO on patient satisfaction and was designed to measure improvements in behaviors such as communication with clinical staff and contribution to a positive environment. As illustrated, the majority of Nursing and Clinical respondents feel SAW/ECHO positively impact key behaviors that increase patient and nursing satisfaction.

Each year, CLC selects a research theme that corresponds to industry needs. Previous studies have focused on issues such as turnover cost, employee engagement, and upward mobility. As illustrated in the graph, SAW/ECHO grads are more highly engaged and possess an intent to stay that surpasses national normatives.
